Sergio is a PADI IDC Staff Instructor with a passion for helping new divers feel confident, relaxed, and excited about exploring the underwater world. He completed his professional scuba training at the world-elite Utila Dive Center in Utila, Honduras, one of the most respected and high-volume professional dive training centers in the world. He’s known for his calm teaching style, strong focus on safety, and ability to make even first-time divers feel at ease — because diving is an adventure, not a stress test

Before trading stadium lights for ocean blues, Sergio built his career in the hospitality industry, working everywhere from major sports arenas to high-energy restaurants and iconic venues across the country. His background includes bartending at professional sports stadiums, supervising premium clubs and suites, and even working at the world-famous Casa Bonita in Denver — proving he can handle anything under pressure from sold-out game days to curious sea turtles.

These days, Sergio brings that same hospitality mindset underwater: great experiences, good vibes, and making sure everyone has an unforgettable time. His favorite part of the job is watching divers take their first breath beneath the surface — closely followed by pointing out all the incredible marine life from the tiniest to the biggest.

After years working in venues filled with tens of thousands of people, Sergio now prefers crowds made up of fish, turtles, and graceful eagle rays — and none of them ever ask for a split check. 🤭
