PADI DiveMaster - Scuba Diving since 2015

Ever since I was a kid, I couldn’t wait to get underwater. I did my first dive when I was 8 through the PADI Bubble maker program, and as soon as I turned 10, I got my Open Water certification. From that moment on, I was hooked. Every summer, I did as many dives as possible, racking up specialties and working my way up to Rescue Diver.
Then COVID hit, and like a lot of people, everything got put on pause. I left 7th grade early and didn’t go back to normal school until 10th grade, spending two years on Zoom. When I finally got back, I got into football, and diving kind of took a backseat since I had practice all summer. Then my junior year, I got injured, which at the time sucked, but looking back, it was a blessing in disguise. On the day of our season opener, I was sitting in my room, picked up a camera, and decided to go take pictures of the game. That one choice changed everything—I ended up falling in love with photography and even started my own business.
Fast forward to my 18th birthday, and my dad got me back into diving by pushing me to do my Divemaster course. Just like that, I was in love with it all over again. Now I get to mix my passions by taking photos underwater and helping with classes. One of the best parts of the job is seeing students' faces the first time they breathe underwater—it never gets old.
For now, I’m volunteering as a Divemaster until I do my IDC, so you’ll probably see me around the shop, in classes, or out on the boats. Feel free to ask me anything about diving, photography, or both. Hope to see you out on the water soon!
